Prana Yoga 300-Hour Teacher Training Program

About Teacher Training

The 300-Hour Teacher Training Program is for seasoned yoga practitioners, wishing to immerse themselves more deeply in their practice.  Even if you do not intend to teach, this training will deepen your knowledge and assist in refining and strengthening your practice, exponentially. For those of you who wish to teach yoga, the 300-Hour Teacher Training Program is designed to provide you with a solid foundation for creating and teaching the high standard, responsible yoga classes.  If you are already a Teacher of Yoga, practicing or not, we welcome and encourage you to join us in this training. You will find that the program is much more than methodical learning and teaching but a profoundly rich self-development program that acts as a catalyst for deeper self-discovery.

What makes this Teacher Training unique is the emphasis on yoga as therapy using a wide range of healing modalities including integrative alignment, use of props as therapy, intelligent hands-on assists, use of essential oils, pranayama to enhance well-being, meditation, and Reiki.  The inclusion of preventative care and health enhancement modalities will add a uniquely nurturing element to the practice and teaching of yoga.  Additionally, we continue the study of asana practice with attention to alignment, rhythm, sequencing and class structure.

Graduates of the program will be able to confidently and intelligently assess the specific needs of their students and apply the appropriate modalities to provide the most effective care regardless of age or condition.  Furthermore, graduates will learn to design creative, artful, and healing yoga classes and privates that inspire and empower their students.

In addition to the physical aspects of good health, in the 300-Hour Teacher Training Program, we delve more deeply into yoga as a spiritual practice. Various forms of meditation, pranayama, and the philosophy of yoga will be covered.
