CHOOSE YOUR CLASS AND START TRAINING

All Levels Yoga

This class will emphasize optimal, anatomical alignment for each student’s body type through an introduction of basic to intermediate yoga postures (asanas). Focused on lengthening our muscles using breath to channel movement. Long lean muscles promote function strength and enhance balance. Pranayama (breath awareness) and meditation techniques will be introduced as well.

Meditative Yoga

Open to all students who would like a gentle approach to their practice.

Kundalini

Kundalini Yoga is an ancient practice which safely raises our consciousness through the chakras, creating a balanced flow of energy and developing a meditative mind. It is powerful and transformative, focused and effective. Classes consist of a beautiful flow of postures, breath, mantras, and meditation, followed by a healing relaxation, often accompanied by the vibration of the ancient Gong! Kundalini Yoga develops not only the core strength of the body but also the core strength of the spirit as well. It is challenging for anyone, but do-able for everyone!

Iyengar Yoga Wall

Therapeutic yoga in the B.K.S. lyengar alignment tradition. Using a support wall with straps that support the body; Placed around hips, shoulders or on the legs while in the yoga postures to support you. This enables you to stay in the posture and focus on the breath. Eases the tension you may feel trying to hold a pose if you feel weak or have an injury. Therefore, you’re able to stretch and gradually gain strength. The breath will improve, strengthen and expand. Healthy on the joints and beneficial for the spine.

Restorative

This class offers a sanctuary from daily stress and fast-paced living. Com practice “active relaxation”, a state of no-effort and quiet brain. Props will be used to assist in holding the poses (asanas) for some time. The assistance of the props help create space and freedom in the joints, organs and spine. As we settle into the poses, we will be guided to grow more mindful of our “inner landscape.” This process calms the nervous system and slows us down into the rhythm of the body and the Earth, creating an opportunity for healing and release.

Aerial Yoga

Aerial yoga combines asanas with the aerial silks fully supporting you while allowing for deeper stretch and decompression of the  spine,

This class is fun, relaxing, invigorating  at the same time

Prana Yoga has been in business for 10 years.  Over this time I have seen the studio become a place of community for the community. It’s a big step forward to move from the “I”  to the “We”, spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Prana Yoga Foundation is a 501c3 non- profit and we would like to let people know they can make a tax-deductible contribution through it. We are reaching out to the community to make an investment in supporting Prana Yoga in keeping it thriving.

While many people see the studio as the work of one or two people, it really belongs to the community and to all who come to experience kirtan, Yoga, instruction, healing, and the social-spiritual gatherings that enrich our lives.
