Regina Dewitt
Owner of Prana Yoga & Healing Center
After 30 years working in the hospital as an RN, Regina decided to take health care into a different arena. She began the study of yoga in 1995 due to depression following the death of her remaining parent. She studied yoga in the tradition of B.K.S. Iyengar with Rodney Yee, and Richard Rosen learning and discovering alignment principles of the practice. Yoga and the vast wisdom of the body and breath showed an inclusive approach to overall health, wellness and spirituality.
In 2009, Regina left the hospital to open Prana Yoga and Healing Center offering classes, workshops, and teacher training. In 2011, she began to study Kundalini Yoga through the teachings of Yogi Bhajan. A deeper transformation began to happen as the teachings of kriyas, breath, meditation, and chants enveloped her practice and life. Kundalini Teacher Training was offered at Prana Yoga in 2015 for the first time because she wanted to share these teachings and she was a part of the graduating class.
She still maintains her RN license, in addition to E-RYT 500, and a Certified Kundalini teacher. She is currently working on getting certified as an International Yoga Therapist.
Tamara Page
Certified Instructor
Founder of Y3M Wellness
E.R.Y.T. 500 Yoga Coach
For the past 30 years, it has been my passion and joy to help people live more fulfilling lives physically, emotionally, and spiritually through teaching the practices of Yoga, Movement, Mindfulness, and Meditation. Through my coaching, I have empowered my clients to take charge of their lives, care for their personal health, and practice disease prevention, and I invite you to join me and learn these practices that will do the same for you.
Now, a little bit about me! After living for 26 years in New York, I am now happy to call sunny Sarasota, Florida my home. I am an E-RYT 500 registered yoga instructor through the Yoga Alliance, which means that I have taken over 500 hours of courses in yoga teaching. Beyond that, I have studied a variety of yoga disciplines, Mindfulness Meditation, and the Buddhist tradition of Vipassana meditation which I incorporate into my teachings.
I attribute the foundation of my teaching skills to the late Senior Iyengar Yoga Instructor Mary Dunn, who’s mother inspired the great BKS Iyengar to introduce Iyengar yoga to the United States shortly after the publication of “Light on Yoga.”
Having the foundation and experience of a 5 year apprenticeship under the tutelage of Mary was the most extraordinary experience a yoga teacher could have. To this day, I marvel at the unique blessing that opportunity was. Forever I am grateful and hold the memory of Mary who inspires and influences me today as an instructor.
In addition to my yoga and meditation teachings, I have 14 years of experience as a Certified Hypnotist and have developed the Yoga Hypnosis Training Technique (Y.H.T.T) to assist my clients in the development of healthy and sustainable lifestyle habits.
Let your light shine and begin awakening within!

I was very fortunate to be introduced to yoga early in life and learned to practice on my own. Before the popularity we see today. I took my first training in Vienna, Austria. Coming to Sarasota I took Anusara training with Jaye Marten and Betsy Downing where the principals are based on alignment and always have a central focus for class. This helped to renew and deepen my skills. I trust the intelligence of my body to constantly try to maintain homeostasis, our most aligned self. I do daily meditation on the magnificent body and its functions of maintaining good health that I am grateful for. This is what I teach and live. I have been teaching for 57 years and make it My Lifestyle. .

Larisa Kenny
Certified Instructor
14 years ago I came to a point in my life where I needed something for me, for my body and for my mind. I had tried a variety of exercise programs but nothing gave me the satisfaction that I was looking for, until I stumbled upon a Park District yoga class. As a professional dietitian caring for seniors with dementia and memory loss, my days were challenging yet yoga created a balance.
I developed my foundations in Anusara inspired Vinyasa Flow. I have also had extensive studies in the practice of Iyengar and therapeutic yoga. I received my 200 hour RYT Certification from my mentor, Silvia Mordini, then received a certification in Prenatal Yoga and later completed my Personal Trainer Certification through the AFAA.
I believe the practice of Yoga enhances and improves the quality of our lives. When our lives become more demanding, it is essential that we take time to nurture our minds and heal our bodies. I feel privileged to share the physical and mental benefits of Yoga with individuals from all walks of life.
I finished my 500 hours teacher training in 2017.

Prana Yoga has been in business for 10 years. Over this time I have seen the studio become a place of community for the community. It’s a big step forward to move from the “I” to the “We”, spiritually, mentally and emotionally. Prana Yoga Foundation is a 501c3 non- profit and we would like to let people know they can make a tax-deductible contribution through it. We are reaching out to the community to make an investment in supporting Prana Yoga in keeping it thriving.
While many people see the studio as the work of one or two people, it really belongs to the community and to all who come to experience kirtan, Yoga, instruction, healing, and the social-spiritual gatherings that enrich our lives. We trust that you feel the same way and are willing to help sustain this spiritual center.
As my spiritual mentor said ” Let people love you,” “Give them an opportunity” A lesson for us all…
There are many benefits why people gravitate towards a yoga practice. Yoga helps strengthen the body and mind, builds community, find one’s authentic self and even reframes one’s thought process on how they should approach life. The benefits are endless and should be experienced by everyone!
Our foundation supports and funds yoga programs for various groups. We also provide training to help kickstart yoga programs, inspiring grassroots social change, and community cooperation in under-resourced areas. Join us in sharing the transformational benefits of yoga with the world, one person at a time.
