In addition to the physical benefits of yoga, scientific research validates the benefits of yoga and meditation on social and emotional habits, decision-making as well as an improvement in athletic performance and academic grades.
During this class, teens will learn techniques shown to enhance focus, reduce impulsivity, increase athletic performance, increase flexibility and core strength and reduce stress.
During the hour and 15 minutes, students will practice breathing techniques (pranayama) and yoga postures ( asana ) combined with guided meditation and relaxation. The benefits of the practice will be linked to activities beyond the yoga studio for students to use when they return to school, extracurricular activities and their social circles.

No prior experience is necessary
